On a typical walk we enjoy the fresh air and grass in our paws.

I walk where the dog is familiar with his or her surroundings. We walk a full 30 minutes or 60 minutes. I talk to the dog while we walk, and let them sniff and pee on things. We do training exercises sit, come, heel and stay. We have a great time!

I prefer 6 foot nylon leashes over retractable leashes. I have better control over a dog on a 6 ft nylon leash. I had two different types of retractable leashes break on me and I don't like having to chase down the dog or at the least the end of the leash to catch them.

Things that I take on every walk:

- Poopy bags
- Doggy Treats (your dog's personal favorites)
- Training Clicker and Training Whistle (even though I can whistle well)
- Dog Deterant Spray  if case of an attack from another dog we encounter walking (citronella spray is safer than pepper spray and dogs don't like it).
- My Blackberry phone (if you would like text messages, photos, or emails of your dog during or after the walk let me know).
- Extra Leash
- First Aid Kit (bandages, gaze, tweezers, babywipes, saline solution, water and tape).

After the walk:

-If it was raining during the walk I dry off the dog and wipe paws and wipe them down with a dryer sheet because it decreases the wet dog smell.

- If we walked in high grass or a field, I check for ticks and pull off any found and let you know.

-Before I leave I make sure they have fresh water in their bowl and food if you have specified to leave it. I kiss each dog before I leave and lock the door behind me.
